l us who you are. What's your major? What are your interests (academic and non)? Why are you taking intro to disability studies, and what do you hope to gain from this class?
2) Talk about the reading that's due for class on Monday: Shakespeare, Linton, and the Barbie doll models of disability. How do these texts position (or define) disability? In what ways do they (or don't they) line up with your own experiences with or understandings of disability?
Are we able view each others post by just clicking on their name that is listed to the right? I tried that but there are not any post. Also, My profile says I have 0 followers...?

ReplyDeleteI think you're the first one to post! Once others begin writing their first entries, you'll be able to see their posts, yes.
The followers bit on your blog is something different -- I'll be sure to explain it during class. You can remove it from your blog, or keep it there. Basically, others have to actually hit "follow" on your blog to show up there. (Regardless of whether they "follow" you, though, everyone in our class is able to view and comment on your blog.)
